National Literacy and Numeracy Week

One aspect of National Literacy and Numeracy Week is an awards program that is designed to acknowledge schools that demonstrate excellence in teaching literacy and numeracy.
However, from 2008, the National Literacy and Numeracy Week Awards for Schools and Minister's Awards will no longer be available, in light of the introduction of awards provided under the Rewarding our Schools Programme.
From 2008, at least 300 schools across Australia can receive up to $50,000 in recognition for literacy and numeracy improvement under the Rewarding our Schools Programme.
